Hey Anas,
I sent and received much documents using my fax machine with digital phone service and never had a problem. The facsimile signal is a signal Analog sent on a VOIP line, they have nothing to do with eachother. Simply plug the phone jack and fax away.

Fax machines are considered obsolete today and unnecessarily expensive. If you want to save money, you need to fax in a modern way.
You can send documents by e-mail, if you need to send a document that is not on your computer, scanner with a scanner or all-in-one printer or take a picture with a digital camera).

I have an HP Officejet 6310 – after a lot of anxiety a lot, I discovered by pressing the button menu on the real machine, I turned off the ECM. Then I went to the speed / baud, and it dropped to 9600.
I then sent a test fax service at 1-888-473-2963 HP testing and it worked! I received a fax from them. I just get Charter Internet, telephone and cable A few weeks ago and when someone tried to fax me, it would start and then give me a "fax failed" message. Hope this helps
