WIFI on cell phones?
I have a question about WIFI on cell phones.
Say for instance i have an unlocked nokia N81 phone which has built in WIFI, and i have a prepaid phone service, so its basically pay as i use and i recharge again(no contract). Since my phone has the ability to connect to the internet thru any public Hotpspot, would i need a data plan? Or will i be able to connect and use the surf the internet without my mobile service provider charging me?
What about if i had a contract fone, but didn’t have a data plan? If i used a voip service on my fone that wud use a WIFI connection, would my actual plan minutes get used up?
I understand i’d have to pay for the voip service, but would making calls affect my minutes on my fone?
You would only get charge of your minutes everytime you press SEND on your phone.
You won’t need a data plan if your phone has a built-in wifi. Use the wifi instead to surf the internet.
I’m not sure how you get VOIP for the N81. I guess you will need a headset with mic. So it’s still free if you use it theu wifi.
