Which tablet PC is best?

I’m looking to buy a tablet PC for both entertainment and school work. I’m a high school student.
I am trying to figure out which one is best but I just can’t decide! Out of these 4, which one would you consider best?

Toshiba Thrive
Samsung Galaxy Tab
Asus Transformer
Motorola XOOM

Im looking for it to have an accessory (1st, 2nd or 3rd party, I don’t care) that allows you to adjust the viewing angle (for watching movies, typing, etc) and an accessory (included or excluded with the 1st accessory, 1st 2nd or 3rd party doesnt matter) for typing with a real keyboard (I realize that could be done with bluetooth, so bluetooth keyboard is fine.)

I realize this is a lot, but I’m not asking for research, I’m asking for opinions and what you may already know. Thanks!!!

Let’s start with your first two: Galaxy Tab 10.1 vs Toshiba Thrive

Displays are same size and same resolution: 10.1 inch 1280×800.

Tab 10.1 is available with 3G via Verizon; Thrive has no 3G option.

Thrive has a 5MP rear camera; Tab 10.1 has 3MP rear camera.

Thrive has a front webcam; Tab 10.1 has none.

Both have 720p rear video camera.

Both have the same 1GHz dual core Tegra 250 CPU and 1G of RAM.

Ports: Thrive has full-size HDMI, USB, and SD; Tab 10.1 just has an audio port.

Tab 10.1 is much thinner: 0.336 inches vs 0.62 inches.

Tab 10.1 is lighter: 1.25 lbs vs 1.6 lbs.

Summary: Go with Galaxy Tab 10.1 if you want thin and light; go with Thrive if you want full-size ports and better cameras.

The ASUS Eee Transformer (TF101) is extremely feature rich for under $400: Android 3.1, 10.1 inch 1280×800 IPS (like iPad, but bigger and higher resolution) display, up to 9 hours of battery life (16 hours if optional dock added), optional ability to dock with keyboard, 1 GHz Tegra 250 ARM CPU with 1 GB RAM, good array of ports (mini HDMI, SD, micro SD), preloaded Polaris Office 3.0 for editing documents (.doc), spreadsheets (.xls) and presentation (.ppt) files.

Summary: Go with the Transformer if you want the best in hardware value in general and if you’re attracted to the keyboard dock feature.

We’ll finish with Motorola Xoom vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1: They both have similar displays (10.1 inch, 1280×800 TFT). They both have 1GHz Tegra 250 dual-core processors. However, there are other differences…

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 (1.25 lbs) is the lightest of the big-screen tablets and is the thinnest overall. For that thinness, you give up ports: Galaxy Tab 10.1 has no SD, USB, or HDMI ports.

Motorola Xoom is heavier and thicker than the Galaxy Tab. The Xoom’s advantage is that it has HDMI out and micro USB ports. It also has a 5MP rear camera compared to Tab’s 3MP. The Xoom has a front webcam and a 720p rear video camera; the Tab has only the 720p rear video camera.

Summary: Galaxy Tab 10.1 is thinner and lighter but the Motorola Xoom has ports and better cameras.

Grand summary: Buy a Galaxy Tab 10.1 for its thinness and light weight. Buy a Transformer for its keyboard doc and good hardware/price ratio. Buy the Thrive or Xoom for their better ports and better cameras; Thrive if WiFi only is fine; Xoom if you need 3G (Verizon).

Finally, regarding viewing angle, there is no accessory, but you should favor IPS displays (iPad 2, TouchPad, Eee Pad Transformer, and NOOK Color) in your selection for their superior viewing angle.
