Can I call my pc with my cell phone, and route the call through my voip?

Hi everyone.

I’ve got a phone line that is connected to my router. I have a computer connected permanently with ADSL. I have a subscription that allows me to call my home number for free.

Is it possible that I use my cell phone to call my computer (or router), and then instruct my computer (or router) to call a different number through VOIP? That way, all communications would be totally free!

For example : I call my home. I connect with my computer. I then dial the number that I REALLY want to call. My computer calls it by VOIP.

Is it possible? How?

Yes, it is possible, but may be somewhat technical to achieve.
There are various ways to achieve this. But, I will only offer one that is probably the simplest solution, but will still require some expenditure and technical ability.

Regardless of how you do it, it will require a PSTN to VoIP gateway device, either standalone or a card that plugs into your PC ISA bus.

One standalone device that can be used is the Linksys/Cisco SPA3102-NA telephone adapter (ATA):

This ATA has two ports built-in.
One port connects to PSTN telephone line.
The other Port connects to your telephone.
The ATA allows you to configure it to connect to BYOD VoIP services (bring your own device).
So, if your VoIP service provider allows BYOD, this device can work for you.
It can be configured, by you, to receive calls on the PSTN landline and forward those calls through your VoIP carrier that it is subscribed through.
