good website to buy cell phones without contracts?

i already have a family plan with verizon wireless and i have a 2yr contract. my contract is up in july and i dont want the free phone they give me. so will they give me a discount on the phone that i do want? i dont understand. can you please explain verizon’s policy?

also if they dont give a discount and make me pay full price what website can i use to buy a phone without making me sign up for another contract. so i just buy the phone and then transfer numbers over the phone. like you do on ebay sometimes.

eBay is your best bet. BUT if you buy a phone before your contract expires it’ll renew your contract and you’ll get it at a discount. If they dont give you a discount be like, “HEY! I will switch companies because your service is horrible! I’ve been with Verizon for ___ years! And this is how you treat me?” that always scares them
